budgetflyer wrote:I bought an unlimited space hosting acc from http://rrhosting.com via ebay for £2.49 for life. This includes a domain address with suffix rr7.co.uk
ie https://www.budgetflyer.rr7.co.uk you can also port any other domain to that webspace

Unlimited space heh ... some nice overselling going on there :P0 -
Hi ukbill69, I see what you mean about charging different amounts for different suffixes, just had a look and some suffixes are considerably more than £7.50!!
But they did DEFINITELY only charged me £7.50 total for 2 years, including VAT (just double checked my statement). I did buy back in March so maybe prices have gone up? Or maybe they cocked up when charging me!!
Either way it was very cheap.
Sorry don't know of anywhere that is cheap for domains other than .co.uk. Good luck finding somewhere to the OP.0 -
What they dont allow is files like zip,mp3,exe and pics (unlessthe pics are part of your page content stored) This means that in theory they can offer unlimited space.meclive wrote:Unlimited space heh ... some nice overselling going on there :P
I might add that so far the support has been very good.0 -
https://www.1and1.co.uk is selling .co.uk for £1.99/year + VAT, so a 2 years domain including VAT is about a fiver. .com is £8.99/year.
if you want cheaper .com, then go over to the states and register one there. have a look at https://www.domainsite.com, https://www.godaddy.com and https://www.namecheap.com.
for hosting, have a look at https://www.site5.com and https://www.hostingsimply.com. yes, they are all cheaper than the UK!0 -
Yes for oneandone, you cant use anyones nameservers, so thats no good if you want to use domain out of oneandone.Kind Regards
