A&L free overdraft

i have just opened the A&L current account, mainly to take advantage of the free £75 when you are referred. now they've given me a £400 overdraft limit and i want to "stooze" that money together with my virgin BT money in a savings account. that should work, shouldn't it? i would pay in the £1000 regularly but would remain consistently £400 overdrawn...do you think this can cause any problems?

No problems. It's what I do :->
Just be careful not to go below your authorised limit or you will be stung for £25 over-overdrawn fee.

what do they use to work out the overdraft limit???

I got given £500 but my old Bank Account had a £520 limit


I could do with getting it higher so i might ring them

BTW FYI I pay in ~£1300 and got an interest free overdraft of £1100.

I have just opened one and pay in 1600.. they have given me 1100 overdraft, my husband has a standard A & L acc. wonder if they would still give me 25.00 for recommending him to upgrade and then they may give him 50.00 also.. or may be it's just for non A & L customers.. I will check it on Monday.

Only thing about living in the overdraft is it's interest free for 12 months so at the end of it need to make sure you keep the money to clear it I think.
