Hi, I made a few purchases last month and have made payments, but I need to know if a refund is considered a payment with reference to "paying the balance so I don't pay charges next month".
I spent £639.19 last month (statement bal to be paid by 15th mar)
paid £240 cash end of feb(bought something for kids online and they paid me back)
Have min payment DD coming out £19
Total still to pay - 380.19
I have just paid by phone - £380 (dont know why I didnt pay 19p too)
so 19p still to pay
but I have had a refund of £7.xx since the statement was issued.
Will this refund be counted as a payment, or should I phone up again (0870) to pay the 19p or am I ok?
If I had made no more purchases I wouldn't have a problem, but I have and so am a bit confused cos the balance was never at zero if you can see what I mean.
All help appreciated,
MrsB.

Have a look on www.saynoto0870.co.uk - put in your 0870 number and it'll hopefully give you a freephone number that takes you to the same place
The refund and payment should actually leave you with a positive balance so you shouldn't be charged interest I'd say."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
