Mess can always be cleared right up honey!
Point is, you've not carried on regardless, you're now heading in the right direction again
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
i hope so!
i have decided to go back to withdrawing cash out once a week to pay for all groceries, petrol, tobacco etc and anything else like my sons special needs after school club, any bits and bobs of clothing i have to get (ds1 &3 have both ripped school trousers this week i am patching them up instead of buying new this time)...theres always something isnt there!
re the cat food.... last week i didnt buy enough to last the week (4 cats) so ended up buying 2 small boxes which cost me more, this week i have bought a 4k sack which should last me about 2 weeks, so noe to buy next week, that should mean the week after i have enough spare to buy a 10kg sack from the pet food suppliers (about £15) which lasts ages. next week i wont have to buy pull ups or swim nappies or wipes (seems i had run out of everything this week!)November NSD's - 70 -
I know the feeling re the car. We are pensioners and living without a car would be a nightmare, even though we have seriously considered giving it up, it would save us around £300 a month, BUT if we did, we would not be able to visit my DD2 and DGC they live 30 miles away, our allotment would have to go and I would not be able to visit my only friend who lives 8 miles away, bus service would mean I would have to set out to come home as soon as I got there, and no holidays.................nightmare..........we like to go to France, do it on a shoestring by staying in out of the way places and would not be able to get around once we were there.
I put £20 a month in the car, when its gone, its gone. We are fortunate that we live on a bus route into town and also to the local shopping centre. I would have to have the heavy goods delivered, could not carry them ( I shop once a month for staples, doing a monthly meal list) we use the bus to do a top up shop in the middle of the month and also to visit the library, usually bus there and walk back...........
We have seriously thought about this, we are paying off a loan, this finishes june 2009, if we can just keep going till then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life will be a little easier for us and we might be able to save a bit of cash as well. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

ref the swim nappies, I know there would be the initial outlay, but have you thought about getting proper swimming trunks with built in plastic liner. They still keep in the icky stuff in the nappy rather than the pool. Might save you a bit?
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

welcome back jamiedodger
It isn't that you didn't learn - life throws stuff at us sometimes over which we have no control. You just deal with it the best way you can and move on, which is exactly what you have done!
You probably know far more than me about the entitlements your 7 year old is due, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that you should get help with nappy/pull up costs over and above a certain age. Would be worth looking on families board etc maybe

yes you are right the_cat. i di get help with his nappy costs, but not his swimming pants. he goes 2 times a week, so the pack i bought today should last 5 weeks:) i will look into the reusable swim pants though for next time. i am not able to use normal swim pants/trunks for himNovember NSD's - 70

morning all:)
today should be a no spend day. i am going to visit my nan in hospital this afternoon but only for 10 mins as she cant cope with visitors for too long.
the carpenter didnt tur up last night, so i will be taking his money out of my purse today and locking in my cash box so it doesnt get spent:)
i have had a long hard look at my figures and i think that it will take at least 6 months to get myself straight again:( oh well!
luckily this month there is no council tax or water to pay for...but my car insurance is up fo rrenewal in two weeks, i will have to shop around to get the best deal for this, but unfortunately i wont be able to afford to pay it outright like i would have liked to. arghhhhh!November NSD's - 70
