had another nsd yesterday and aiming for another today, so that is 2 (hopefully 3) in a row so far:)
ive joined the £10 in june challenge and am looking for ways to make that 300 quid, as i would like to be able to take the kids camping in the summer holidays again this year. i have also listed books on amazon this morning hoping to bring in some money towards it.
been on pigsback and quidco to do clicks this morning too:) its not much but i guess it all mounts up!
will get on the phone to bank in a mo, as i need to cancel another dd.November NSD's - 70 -
update:
i have now transferred all dd's to new account, reworked the budget (again lol) and now have things totally sorted!!
the debt is coming down (slowly but surely) and i feel happy knowing i am back on track and organised!
the cost of living going up is a worry and i have had to take all this into account but i think we will be ok. things will ease up when i have paid back my parents and other debts. there is not much room for emergencies but fingers crossed there wont be many!
everything i sell, i am putting towards our summer holiday camping holiday, i have found a real bargain me and 5 kids for £14 per night, ds1 wants to bring a friend this time:) i will be buying something each week to put in a sweetie tuck box so the kids wont be asking for money all week long.
as i have explained on my other thread i have just reactivated my lovefilm sub, with a code so i have 3 months free film watching, which will keep me amused in the evenings when the kids have gone to bed.
need to have another think on more ways to save money and pay off the debt quicker........November NSD's - 70 -
ahhh monday morning!!
yesterday i rejoined nyk's 4k challenge for the 2nd half of 2008. i am hoping this will give me the kick up the wotsit i need:)
have already worked out this weeks budget and should be putting away £40 for my parents (they prefer to get the money back in lots over £100)
there isnt much left after i have paid everything i need to:( but at least everything is paid. this also includes putting money away for xmas and birthdays, car tax and emergency fund.
at the moment i have £20.48 left of this weeks money, today i need yoghurts and a plug for my portable dvd player (dd broke it, no idea how lol). If there is any money left it will go in my emergency fund. that should be my spends done for this week, tomorrow should be a nsd. anything needed can be dragged out another day until payday on wednesday.
i quite like nyk's interest beater challenge too, might give that a go. apparently i need to make £260 for the year to cover what i would have made in interest if the 4k had been in a savings account. i think i could do this with amazon and ebaying stuff. (not 100% sure this is how that challenge works but never mind!) all monies saved from this challenge can service the debt...
i find the more challenges i enter the more focused i become:DNovember NSD's - 70 -
been to shops. bought a plug and yoghurts cost £7.72.
left in purse £12.76 to be transferred to emergency fund on wednesday (providing i can manage a nsd tomorrow:)November NSD's - 70 -
the day started on a good note.....
by eleven oclock it had all gone very wrong. dd aged 3 decided to stick a marble up her bottom. trip to a & e, 5 glasses of orange juice and 4 hours later, the marble re appeared!!!
what a relief, we were told if it hadnt come out by 4pm she would have to go into hospital for an op under general to have it removed!!!!
all the things i had planned to do today had gone out the window.....
also my nsd didnt happen as i had to spend 55p on some orange juice in the hospital waiting room:rolleyes:
oh well, tomorrows another day:DNovember NSD's - 70 -
