Hi hope somebody can help. I moved into a house in June last year and was asked by E.on to read the meter and forward to them, I did this without a prob and set up a direct debit with them for £53 per month!

In January they came and updated my meter and i was told by the engineer that i was paying a lot more for my elec due to the tarriff being on one that is used for certain heaters, basically it charges them during the night which costs less!!

Any way I thought my bills were high but have just received one for £200!! my queiry is should e.on have advised me about this when i moved? and do i have an argument against paying this amount because of this?

Hope you can help, i can't afford this bill!!!!!!!!!
