NPOWER CHARGES A 2% SURCHARGE FOR NOT PAYING BY DRECT DEBIT,IS THIS LEAGAL???:eek:

I have the same problem with Vodaphone who charge £3.00 per month administration fee. is this legal and does anyone know of a mobile provider who doesn't do this? Thanks.

As long as a firm publishes their tariff, they can structure their charges as they wish.
You have 2 choices; and one of them is to stay with the firm!!!0 -
Orange don't charge extra if you dont pay by DD0

Is there any real difference between a surcharge for not paying by DD and a discoiunt for paying by DD .. the net result is exactly the same. If you use a non automated payment method then it involves some form of 'labour' that has to be paid for ... I would prefer my bill to be as cheap as possible and not pay for 'extras' I do not use.
