Quick CC question

I have recently balance transferred to a 0% card and currently have 2 other CC's that are empty, completely £0 balances, is it better to close these or leave them open and not use them?

i am not in danger of using them at all, so thats not a issue!

thanks

If you're not using them, it's probably best to close them. Open cards increase your available credit, which makes you unattractive to lenders. Also, if you close the cards then if the providers have a new special offer on you can take advantage of it :)

best to keep at least two cards ... you never know if a CC will be refused and cause some difficulty

Better to try and get good deals from them I'd say and stooze the money if you're now in a comfortable position.

Read Clariman's article on extending offers: http://www.makesenseofmoney.co.uk/a_extend.html

Egg Money and MBNA cards seem to be the ones to keep. If you're not wanting to stooze and you're not needing any more credit then I'd say just keep the cards safe somewhere and when your existing 0% offer is nearly done, reread the article and make the calls to try and get 0% offers on your existing cards. If they won't play ball then cancel them.
