I'm trying to find some "interesting" people they share their birthday with - currently I can only find some not well known actors.
Ah! Maybe you could leave that info out then? ;) Or if its part of a general birthdate events page it may not be quite so noticeable...

Incidently, that modern update of the 'What are little boys made of' nursery rhyme is a lot nicer than the one I remember! I used to love teasing my brothers with the 'Frogs and snails and puppy dogs tales' bit - do you remember that or would that be telling? ;)

It's a lovely version. I can't remember where I found it, but probably via google. And I do remember the original one! :p

kisto - love the rhyme for little boys............might keep that for my grandson. Have you done star sign and all its meanings, birth stone etc. ? (what I did when grandson was born last year)
I'm making a note of different ideas that crop up if you don't mind me picking your brain................lol

Oh.........another thing I did for grandson.......not sure if I mentioned it earlier in the thread........was the meaning of his Christian name and origin or surname

I just wanted to say that is the most lovely idea and I think your friend will absolutely LOVE them, you are so thoughtful! It's also so MSE too, I am now racking my brains as to who I can possibly make one for so that I can be an amazing friend like you!

Did anyone say putting in news headlines from the day they were born? You could find these out online, i'm sure or even contact newspapers for a copy of the front page. (I don't even know if this is possible!)
Sorry if somebody has already said this.

Would love to see finished piccies!

I know I share my birthday with Prince Edward because someone told me when I was a child! :p

What a coincidence! I share mine with Prince Andrew :D (not the same year obviously! ;) )

I've had a thought - maybe you could still include the "not well known actors" (maybe with pics so people can see what they look like?) - you never know they may be the 'Kylie Minogue's' of the future!:D

How about something about what the weather was like on their birthday ?
As I want to do something for my grandson who'll be a year old in June I'm going to include a bit about the floods in July.

    Hello again everyone.

I must admit I started to run out of steam with these but they are finally finished and I will be sending them off on Monday morning.

    Here's the completed scrapbooks

Following a suggestion earlier in this thread I have made some boxes to store/send them in too.

The box started off like this:

    boxbeforewc2.jpg

    And then became these:

    finishedscrapbooks8boxecm3.jpg

I dismantled the box then used the long sides to construct the box - measuring it against the scrapbook to get a snug fit. I then covered the boxes using some wallpaper and oodles of PVA glue. I punched a hole in the flaps on each side and fed through some ribbon to secure the box shut. I tied knots on the end of the ribbon to stop it fraying.

I'm probably going to create a label with the twins names on to stick on the front of each box too.
