Evening everyone
does anyone know if I could use the following in the fat balls, I've never made them before:
Solid Lamb fat from tonight's dinner
Seeds/nuts I have in are: sesame seeds, pecans, macadameas
Then I also have in dried fruit, (a little) wholemeal bread, oats
Thank you!

I'm sure I read somewhere that you can put some seeds, nuts etc in the little drip tray from a George Foreman grill, and when it gets full of the fat drippings turn it out and use it to feed the birds with? Would this be safe? As someone said earlier in the thread, would the fat from things like bacon be too salty for this purpose?
Also, anyone making fat snacks for birds make sure to use unsalted nuts

Thanks for the link cajef, I've got my mix waiting on the side for some niger seed that I'll grab a bit later today

A quick question... my brain is on overdrive
if I dry out the inner pumpkin / butternut quash seeds and stringy flesh.. can that go into a later batch of fatballs?
Also (sorry I never normally use lard.. I throw it in the bin whoops) how long can lard be stored for as I normally have smaller amounts of it after a rost, I just happened to be doing a big cook up yesterday of fatty joints.....April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500
