Agreed. I have 3 brothers, none of them have degrees, all are in very well paid jobs, and like to remind me (at a regular interval) of where my degrees have got me salary wise :) I can probably catch one of them up when I qualify, but the other two... Probably no chance!

You quoted a senseless response which does not relate to your point. I never said you need just a degree, as shown below. Exactly what are your degrees in, if you dont mind me asking?

Also, not having a degree or no skills set and training would gurantee to a poverty line wage.

I also have brothers and sisters and none of them have degrees, however they have training and skills and are on exceedingly good wages.

Although your brothers have no degrees I'm sure they have some sort of training or skill, or work unsociable or long hours to be on a very good wage.

I don’t think there are jobs out there which pay 20k and above for packing, stocking, picking, lifting, digging and shifting, i.e., no skill or training which involves a skill to do. This is exactly what I mean.

Please tell us what jobs your brothers do which enables them to earn very good wages.... Have they been trained to do this work or could anybody go there tomorrow and do it? Like an employer employing a cleaner which could be done without any sort of timely and costly training or experience.

To those asking whether it's possible to get onto postgrad with less than a 2.1 - it depends on the course & your other skills.

Clinical Psych is really hard to get onto. I know people who've done 3 years unpaid work experience with first degrees from good unis and have not been accepted onto postgrad courses. It's very competitive and you'll find the majority of psych students want to do clinical.

It's best to talk to an advisor at your university, they'll be aware of how many of their psych students go on to do post grads & can advise you further.
