Flora - we won;t shout at you honey! We've ALL been there adn your post made me want to cry, i feel for you I really do.

you need some help throughall this, so do get advice as suggested.

If you can post a breakdown of all your incomings and outgoings, plus debts, and APRs and min payments then we can help with that.

Also, you say your son owes you money but cannot help you any more. Well, I think you need to call in that debt as you need the money. I know he is you son but he must pay you back what he owes as you can use that towards your debt.

Hello flora and welcome to MSE, we're a friendly bunch and promise to support you through your debt and life issues if you'll let us.

I would suggest as the others have, that you contact one of the free debt charities. They are ever so nice and understanding. No one will blame you for the debt, they will simply try to take the worry and the stress away from you and help you to find a workable solution. There is a solution to every debt problem and even though your creditors might not like it at first you should adopt an attitude that you can only do what you can do and if that's not what they'd like... tough! Making sure you have a roof over your head and food on the table is the most important thing.

I am so very sorry to hear about your partner's death. I can't imagine what that's been like for you. But your job is to concentrate on getting yourself healthy and strong while the free debt charity deals with the money issues for you.

I'm not sure if everyone reads this as its the first time I have used a forum. I just wanted to say thank-you. I am overwhelmed by the fact that so many people replied and care about me!! Its amazing. I am shaking. I will carefully read through all of them and then decide what to do next. thank-you so much. One lady mentioned her aunt being made ill by the stress. Well that is happening to me too. I shake inside and wake up in the middle of the night in a panic but you all know about that because you have all been there. Wow, I dont feel alone anymore. Thank-you so much.
