Solar powered security lights

Anyone have an opinion on these as i prefer outdoor lights that are on when i want them on rather than just when someone triggers the PIR sensor.

An electric fence is a much better deterent though I am not sure if they make an "eco friendly" solar powered one yet.

Most of these solar powered lights, have re-chargeable batteries.. If you find your lights are lacking in the winter give them a booster charge in your battery charger to bring them back to life....:D

There are also lots in Homebase on offer at the moment, worth a comparison.

Most have NiCad AA batteries though, so to improve them, swap them out for NiMh batteries.
