Vinyl Floor Tiles in bathroom

Hi Everyone - hoping some of you experts can give me some words of advice here. I want to lay large Vinyl floor tiles in the bathroom - (its for a rental property so didn't want to spend too much) and I found some really nice ones that match the decor well.
They come sticky backed already - was wondering about the following:

1) Do I just stick them down on the bare floor - the floor is concrete.
Or do I need some kind of waterproof underlay in case there's excessive water on the floor?
2) The instructions aren't very good - but it says I need to "ensure a damp-proof membrane" - what does that mean?

Hoping to get started on this this weekend - so would appreciate any expert opinions asap if poss please.
Cheers

This is thick polythene sheet (not too thick - still foldable) usually light-blew or transparent. You can find it in a DIY store usually in laminate/wood floring section. It would be quite difficult to fix it securely to concrete floor...

My advice - use vinyl flooring, not tiles.

If you are laying tiles onto concrete flooring you will have to screed the floor with a vulcanised levelling compound.

This is a rubber based product that will seal the concrete and hopefully make it level for you.
