Royal Mail sent me someone elses buying prices!!

If any of you claim lost items etc back through royal mail be very careful what you send them - we have to use the BMAC (business loss) service for any claims and the ones we sent them in Nov 07 are still being dealt with (just been asked for proof of costs again despite sending them all in Nov 07 already), however my main problem, aside from the 4 months wait before anything is dealt with, is they send me a compliment slip asking for this extra information (no mention of who to send it to on the compliment slip), but attached to the slip was...some other companies price list - complete with their product codes, descriptions, whether they sell it on ebay or not, their selling price and more disturbingly their buying price!!! Lucky for them I dont sell cosmetics and creams etc otherwise this could have been very bad for the other company!!

This has made me very wary about what I need to send to Royal Mail and I felt I should warn you all that this kind of thing can happen. This buying list does not say which company it is otherwise I would contact them to make them aware of this but with some time and detective work it could probably be worked out. Tried to put in complaint to Royal Mail and muppet on phone kept trying to give me their main address to send MY buying prices to for these claims - as if I would now just send them to the main address in Royal Mail for them to get lost for 4 months again or sent to someone else!!

I did not want to go on BMAC but was forced to and I suspect these claims are being dealt with outside of BMAC as they are international ones so I dont know which dept has done this but watch what you send them.
