Can i use a 250 v lead in a battery charger that comes with a 125v?

Basically got a camera from the states and the plug is us so thought i'd put a uk one in and it fits but is double v. Will i get electric shock or blow the battery?!:rolleyes:

    More details required, it's not simply the plug that's important. Lots of chargers will accept 120 - 240V but it should say on it.

    Go to any travel shop, or Millets type shop and buy a US to UK adapter plug, about a fiver. Problem solved !

    If you have a 2 pin shaver socket, you should find that your US plug will fit it.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Most 2 pin shaver adapters now have a 1amp fuse so the current drawn is crucial, because the fuse holder is physically smaller and will not accommodate 5 or 13amp fuses.
