I start next Tuesday skint_spice. Short first week with the Friday being Good Friday! I think next Monday night I will be feeling rather nervous! Need to get a hair cut before I start and also try to put together a couple of work outfits. Might have to go and buy a couple of bits though before next week as I haven't worked in an office for nearly a year now!! I'll re-start AQA though tomorrow - nasty big hole in my earnings this month with being on holiday.

That's a good way to break back into office life again, gently! not all offices are really dressy these days, did you gauge it at the interview? Good luck earning some money first but it's either that or live reaaallllyyyy quietly!

I used to work for the same authority years ago skint_spice and it is typical council really, blouse and skirt type place. It is the adult education centre, so not overly corporate, I have my interview outfit as 1 outfit and a blouse to swap for the jacket for a second outfit. I bought a couple of bog standard skirts for my holiday so I just need a couple of tops really to match those. I'm not front line so the one jacket will be fine. As it is 18.5 hours a week, it shouldn't be too scary, I'll be coming home in the afternoons to AQA (and MSE, obviously!!)

I already live quietly to be honest - now my holiday is over, my social calendar is empty for............erm........the rest of 2008!!!! :o  :rotfl:

oooh, I've missed out on that one Snaggles!

I kept hearing Ellidee's sig in my mind whilst away (hope she is having a good time on holiday at the moment!) about being silent and letting the soul catch up.

Although, the silence is now broken by knickers and bras on airers and a big pile of washing to tackle ! Also the silence is broken with lots of swearing as all my new white bras have turned a funny greeny blue colour in the wash with all the new knickers that I bought for the holiday (pink, green and polka dot!!!) I'm washing for the first time !!!

My parents had a lovely time staying at my place for a few days whilst we were away. They left a box of Elizabeth Shaw choccies in the fridge, some choccy biscuits, a couple of chunks of cheese, baconsome hand made fudge, 2 Easter Eggs and £10 'because we used the heating' - they were supposed to use the heating!!!!!! They can come again!!!

I haven't actually organised it yet, because I need to see which Saturday I can book off work (planning holidays before I'm even back :)).

But I'm hoping for some time in early May......and we've got Singstar! :D

Toto, you are absolutely invited......I haven't formally (oooh, get me!) invited anyone yet, due to not actually knowing when it's going to be, but I'd love as many people as possible to come (girls only though as it's an Ann Summers party, sorry ;)).

Your parents sound adorable, my dad hasn't even bothered to call in the last 6 months, in fact the last time I saw him was at the wedding (6 months ago this saturday) and he only lives 4 miles up the road:confused:

And, flippin heck keren, how long have you been home? and you're already doing the washing?? I got back sunday morning and I've still got an empty machine and a laundry room full of clothes that just won't jump into the machine. Oh well, I'll do it when I can be @rsed I guess :rotfl:
