credit card limit

can credit card company's increase my limit, when I have not even ask them to? I just got my credit card statement amd my limit has up increase by £300.Since i have been with my credit card company i have alway paid the full balance. in fact i always pay about £5 -£10 more on my balance. So in fact i am in credit on my card. It is only the past two months that i have not been paying the full amount, but i pay more then the minimum. But i will have paid the full amount in the next month or so.I do not understand how can credit card company increase my limit without asking me? can they do this?

    Credit Card companies often increase limits without asking, this is quite normal. It means they are happy with the way you have handled the account and want to offer you more credit. Many people on here have complained about limits decreasing which can be very annoying.

    If you really don't want the increased limit, then just give them a call and ask them to return it to the original level. Hope this helps.
