nectar credit card

I got my Nectar credit card in 2005 excellent service to start off with they gave me a £4800 limit and accepted a BT from Barclaycard no problem but then about 6 months after getting the card they reduced my limit to £2100 to which I contacted them to find out why and their reply was because I didn't use the card much. Then about 3 months after that they decided to stop me from using the card and put me on fixed payments until I clear the balance for them to then close the account. I never missed a payment or paid late but their reasoning behind it is that my credit status has changed, but after getting credit reports from all 3 agencies all I can see is that my record is getting better. I am just wondering if any one else out there has had the same problem?
