Insurance for imports

We are currently thinking of getting a japanese import people carrier, im just wondering if anyone can recommend online insurance sites specialising in imports?

They are expensive to insure, have compulsory excess often of £250 or above and not many insurers will touch them.

Then you have the changes that have to be made - lights, kph into mph - in the long run you might be better off looking at a people carrier for the uk market.

thanks for your reply, ive had one quote £600 (£150 excess) Fully comp, but i had to telephone them, im looking for online sites specialising in imported MPV anyone?
