SE P990i reconditioned £89.99 on Orange.
I paid £99 for mine in Jan 08
Hard to unlock, large size!
Old phone, but cheap for a phone with keyboard and 2005 vintage features

Pretty good phone by all accounts. Easy to unlock as well!
Might be up for one meself!!So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable Christopher Reeve (1953-2004)0 -

What kind of condition was yours in? I'm just wondering what condition orange consider ok for refurbs.
I've done a bit of looking with regards unlocking, and there doesn't seem any easy way apart from phoning orange and paying them £20 or whatever.
However, I may decide to transfer my number over to orange PAYG as their prices seem more suited to me0 -

Mine was abolutely mint no scratches or marks on screen, case.
I'm quite observant and it was as new. The packaging was generic no extras just a wall charger and the phone.
I got a case and data cable, car charger from ebay. Software for PCs is free from the SE site. There is a thread on how to debrand the phone and update the firmware.
Unlocking is hard the folk on MSE advised I pay Orange £20 for an unlock.Seth.0 -
they can be unlocked but you have to rewrite the firmware and get a patch to unlock the phone0

Thanks for the replies, there's been some on ebay (unlocked) with all the bits, but I'm always worried about getting a mobile from ebay because I've heard lots of horror stories.
I'll probably be using the phone with orange, but I've read it's better to unlock it then you can debrand it by putting on the SE firmware which is much better.
Some people said if you try to flash the firmware or whatever before unlocking the phone will stop working, although from what kkpolobear says it sounds like it's possible0 -

Debrand is easy (backup your GSMS) unlock is hard best left to Orange.
To debrand you need a USB cable for the SE this does not ship with the refurb phone. You backup some files that are unique to your phone, change the code to a global handset. Then when you run the firmware you get the generic f/w not orange. Phone is still locked.Seth.0 -

These unit come with a warantee and Orange cover them from 12 months form purchase date. Take the name of the manager of the store show them proof of purchase. If you get no joy ask local trading standards to help out. Also write a letter to the MD of Orange. They cannot treat people like this.
Once you have it repaired you can move to another provider. I was with Orange for a while went to Virgin for 1 year (12month free with cashback) now back to Orange as this was the only good 12 month deal .Seth.0
