;) I am looking at buying a nearly new car maybe an o4 reg Hyundai Matrix or similar MPV (cheap n cheerfull no frills but reliable) my question is obviosly no one pays the price on the windscreen! so what sort of discount could i expect? for example i was just offered £400 of a scrren price of £5999 and i also managed to them agreeing to fit a towbar rrp £234 which equates to 634 of the screen price so does anyone no of any rules/hints/tips on what you can realisticly get prices down to? be good to hear from any dealers or anyone! ;)

Be verrrrrrrrry carefull that the deal you get on 'nearly new' adds up.

Depending on how long you intend to keep the car, something as simple as change of registration period, say 04 to 54, can be as much as £3-500 difference, on trade in time.

Plus you'll find some excellent deals, on almost EVERY brand, without trying too hrd - deposit paid, 0% finance, cashback, these offers are EVERYWHERE currently.

Check http://www.honestjohn.co.uk clik This Weeks Best Deals, in there.

& as you mention Hyundai Matrix, this is the one relativly overpriced model in their range - so expect a good discount. Also if you go used, with them, make sure the car has balance of 5 years warranty - not the previous 3 year deal they offered.
