Best DS Flash cart? R4, CycloDS, Supercard DS One or other?

Hi,

I'm after one of these flashcarts for the DS Lite. There is so much choice and I really don't know where to start.

It seems to me that the R4 is falling behind a bit now, but I might be wrong. What about the CycloDS or the Supercard DS One.

Any advice, plus where to get one from, would be greatly appreciated!

I can't comment on the others but can say the R4 is excellent !

Supercard DS and CycloDS is very similar, but Supercard have a bit more features like Real Time Save, and of course the price differences. Google it for best deal.

I went for the CycloDs in the end because it was just about the only one in stock that I could find at a reputable website!

I think that the CycloDs has real time save now? I am sure that one of the firmware updates added it.

I also bought a 4gd micro card and I can't believe how ace and easy to use it all is!

I going to try looking at some vids later!

I can't comment on any others as havent had any but I have a Supercard and it's brill, I believe the R4's are cheaper though. I imagine theyre all pretty similiar, wherever you can find it cheap and in stock is probably the one to go for!

CycloDs and Supercard DS One is the best flash card available imo. both now have real time save and the latest firmware got around the 'moogle of death' screen. The next best would probably be the Acekard RPG. oh btw they release a new Acekard, calls Acekard 2, its a baby brother card without in-built memory, GBAtemp review gave it a Gold Rating. you can buy it from hongkong for about £17. google it if you wanna buy it from uk stores.

I have just purchased a Supercard and it seems to have a pwsram error and wont load. The company I got the card from www.gizzards.co.uk said they will swap it for me and told me an R4DS is a good alternative. Has anyone else used an R4 or should I get another Supercard ?

I have a TTDS (Top Toy) and its worked fine, got a second for my dad and he hasn't had any problems either. They're easier to find to buy than some of the others too.

DealExtreme now have the Edge card in stock....gold rating award from GBAtemp and cheaper than the CycloDS. Some would say it's a cheaper version of the CycloDS. Can take upto 32GB MicroSD cards, too.

i'd like to say, the R4 is newer. DS ONE is old style & classical system, from interface to file manage system. It may not suit beginners but perfect for advanced/hardcore players those familiar with supercard or eariler M3 versions (not M3 simply). sites for purchasing:
