I have now got DS suit from Staffs retail - I got it within 2 days of ordering it.
Its 5 piece waistcoat jacket trousers shirt and tie and there was another free tie as well - cost was about £25. Its really good quality and he's only likely to wear it for the one day.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

We looked at staffsretail when we were thinking of having page boys but we're not now (too shy to be pageboys) I emailed them to see if we could go and see the suits as they are quite local to my sister but never got a reply... I'll pass the details on to my MOH though as she wants her boys in suits.

  • I have recently purchased a tuxedo formal shoes and a 5 piece suit for my 4 year old on a wesite called Childrenswear.co.uk. Prices are really good and delivery is quick (the longest I waited was 8 days). They are also available by phone if you need to query anything and do ages 0 - 15 years. The boxed shirt sets are a better quality than the ones that come with the suits and include cuff links!! The formal shoes are really gorgeous - just like grown-ups! Take a look as it depends how much you want spend but they are really good value. Hope this helps.

Or your local bargain pages maybe? I have 2 wedding suits (age 1 & 2) that i was going to sell and i only wanted £10 each so someone in your area may be selling some for the same prices. Pm me if you're interested, they're burgundy waistcoats and cravats, cream shirts and black trousers (not sure if i'm allowed to offer something i have for sale so please delete this post if its against the rules)

I looked up childrenswear web site and everything look very good value so I though I would find out a bit more about the company.

I looked up their terms and condition and the company number given on their web site is 3942505. So I looked up www.creditdate.com and it said childrenswear.co.uk ltd company was fully disolved (possibly in 2004/5) !!!

Their trading address "9 NIALL CLOSE" does look like someone's house.

I am now confused as to whether I should buy from them.

    What does everyone else think?

Why not try ringing them if there is a number and asking them?

    Hi

Not quite sure what I should ask them on the phone. "Are you dodgy?" is certainly not a good question.

What I am really asking everyone is - can I trust a person whose company has ceased trading but continues to trade from a private residential address with my name, address, telephone number, email address and credit card details?

If you're not comfortable with it then I would try somewhere else... Or just ring and ask if they're dodgy, it's not like you're going to bump into them on street or anything... lol.
