GRRRRR, i just need to get rid of a lot of anger about Virgin Media!
In September I signed a 12month contract for Broadband and telephone for £15.50 a month. When the first bill arrived we found that the DD was going to be £18.00 a month with a £2.50 credit each month on the phone bill. Not that impressed but at the end of the day I wasn't being overcharged.
Last month I saw a deal whereby existing customers could add a basic tv package for free. I rang customer services who said yes absolutely free, no changes to the bill. Today I get a phone bill with no £2.50 credit and a £5.10 partial months service charge. I rang customer services to be told that my £15.50 deal was made up of:
£11.00 line rental
-£9.00 phone and broadband saving
-£4.50 additional phone and broadband saving
As I now have an extra service the additional saving is not eligible - no idea where the £5.10 partial month service charge came from! Anyway told the man that I the "free" tv package is not actually "Free" and I wanted to make a complaint...he told me I had to wait 28 days for a Manager to investigate it and there is nothing I can do.
I've just realised how long this is and am really sorry! My question (finally) is has anyone had any experience of actually getting somewhere with virgin media?...if I want to cancel the contract because they have increased their charges to me I have to do within a certain number of days from the bill date...if I wait the 28days for a manager I could run out of time.
Thank you all for your patience!:A
P.s. reading this through it sounds very stupid for the sake of £2.50 a month!! But it is the principle!
