I charged Abbey and they're paying

Just got home opened my post to find that the Abbey have charged me £25 for not being overdrawn??????? I called them and got put through to somebody who confirmed my security details and told me he would have to put me through to the "charges dept", who are based overseas, explain agian the problem to "charges dept., went through the confirmation of my security details again, got told that i was correct, they had charged me incorrectly and the charges would not be taken from my account. At this point i had been on the phone 15min to an 0845 number (I'm on talk talk and all 01 &02 number are free) paying for the pleaseure of calling them to tell them the had cocked up. I requested that they pay me compensation for the problem they offered £5, at this point i was really cross and told them £5 wasn't good enough and i wanted £10, put on hold again to speak to supervisor, still wouldn't pay £10 as i requested, told to go into the branch and get complaints leaflet or e-mail my complant. By this point i had been on the phone 30 min still getting more and more cross, asked to speak to the manager held on hold for another 5min to be told that £10 :T was now exceptable compensation and it would be paid into my account with in 3 to 4 days without having to e-mail or write to anybody.
The morral is never give up and treat them how they would treat you,

CHARGE THEM
Your time is as valuable as theirs.

No need for that, their 01908 number is printed right next to the UK number on the back of their cards!
