Went in to buy the new Ben Mezrich book 'Rigged' last week and was over the moon with the service provided.

I could find the book in question and promptly asked the bloke behind the counter if he could help, he said he could and after some light banter and 10 mins of looking he found the book, which wasnt on the shelves. Whilst he was away I decided to purchase another book I had seen and gave it to him to put through the till.

He informed me that there was an offer on buy 2 get 3rd free, I was stuck for something else to buy (plus two books is enough to keep me going!), so I asked the girlfriend if she could think of anything she'd like. She was stuck for ideas so the bloke talked her through some new releases and offered some suggestions based on what she liked. She found one and we bought the third book.

However the excellent service didnt end there as the employee then gave us student discount (left 3 years ago) and threw in the latest edition of their in house book magazine (worth £2.50).

I can definitly say it pays to be nice and that it is good to know there are some good critters left out there!!
