Ford Fiesta - Locks

Wife has problem with the locks on her Fiesta - one door won't work at all, the other is a real struggle to get into - also, one of the sets of keys she has just turns 360 degrees in the ignition without anything happening.

Any idea how much to replace the barrels or even whether this is possible??

Depends on how old the Fiesta is. On the older models, you can get a set of locks from a breakers for £50 or so then it's a few hours labour to fit - the ignition one being the biggest pain. The newer ones are more of an issue.

Is it the locks or are the keys worn because it should be possible to get a new set cut by a Ford dealership using the chassis number.

It will be possible to replace all the barrels, no idea on cost though.

The key turning 360 in the ignition intrigues me. I assume another key works? If so something may have happened to the key it happens with and you could try getting a key cut from the key that works.

On the door locks you could try spraying white lithium grease into the mechanisms.

Does the key turn in the door locks?

    Ta for the responses.

Spoke to the local dealership, who can do replacement locks for just under £30 each.

Will get another key cut off the one that works!!!!
