I applied for a virgin CC only last week and got accepted for a £2000 limit but I needed it higher so looked elsewhere. Realised that was going to be my best offer so re-applied and got refused, only four days later!! Nothing had changed so y did they refuse??
So checked two other CC lenders and I'm now refused from them as well! I'm so annoyed that I didn't accept the offer.
I suppose theres nothin i can do about it - just needed to let off some steam really!
When should I try again, is it 3 months?? I've always made regular payments but have gone over my limit a few times-purely because of the apr!
Thanx for readin my gripes!

I don't think you should have reapplied.
Phone them up and explain that you were accepted for a card with 2K limit and that you would still like to have it.
3 credit checks in a 6 month period is usually recommended so i'd try speaking nicely to them. The online system is probably automated and just counts how many credit checks and calculates your score to see if you should get a card.
You've nothing to lose by contacting them. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

It could be either that something changed over those 4 days on your credit report or it could be a case of "computer says no"
e.g. if there are more than X number of credit checks then you get rejected.
Perhaps the second time you had more than X (because it would have been one extra).
You could try appealing and that way you get to speak to a person and you can explain. The problem with computer programs is that they are indiscriminate.
If you now have 4 credit checks on your credit report recently then I'd wait a little while before re-applying. Sorry can't give a specific timescale as I don't know how each lenders credit checking system works, but at the moment with 4 checks in a small timescale you will look pretty desperate and that's not attractive.0
