How much tiling? It might not be too far out. Are you getting some more quotes?

  • It includes 7sq meters approx of tiling basically i only want splash backs done and if i want mosaic tiles then it will cost more! Ive had varing quotes one at £3.5k which was ridicualas tried convincing me i needed to fit saniflow due to relocated the wc! i had one in at £1.5k but that did not include a heated towel rail and hes not returned any of my calls for ages so ive given up on him! Im just waiting for one more quote but i think i may go for these guys, was hoping to get it done for £1.5k really materials seem a bit pricey to me?

That's because mosaics need their own type of adhesive and are a pain to cut and work with.

Depends what you need to do to "relocate" the toilet, amongst other things. I posted somewhere recently about material prices where I had extended the hot and cold about 2m and done a little changing around of the existing pipework. I used nearly £50 of pipe and parts just to do that. I've also just looked at some old estimates and I noticed I must have used about £160 in materials to tile a bathroom I did recently (and that doesn't include the tiles, that's adhesive, grout and preparation work)
