which supplier?

Hi there

I have recently moved to a new average sized 1 bed flat, which has British gas and southern electric prepayment meters. Central gas heated, but I hardly used 8 hours in total in last 8 days, same with boiler don’t use hot water very often, but for 8 days, gas meter took £17 of gas and electric £15, that is only for 8 days, which seems shocking if usage goes the same for few months, which is less than average.

Should I switch back to billing? Or change supplier? Or there’s something wrong with the meter? They just changed electric meter last week. Am I paying too much? Which supplier should I choose?
