o2 Broadband - going wireless

I was with Tiscali previously and had a netgear router which was wired for my desktop and I used wireless for my laptop.
I recently changed to o2 broadband and had to use their router when I was setting up, however if I want to go wireless I have to get an o2 wireless adaptor.
Is there anyway around this? Can I go back to my netgear router??

why do you need an O2 wireless adaptor? Just put your netgear router back in and update the configuration to use the O2 details0

I'd rather not have to get one, if I try to set it up via the o2 set-up method it tells me I need that, I'll have to set it back up with my netgear instead2p off is still 2p off!0

Hi,
was thinking same thing, is router 'locked' to provider, or could I use aol router with Plusnet broadband?0 -
You can use the o2 router but any wireless adaptor for your PC. The o2 router uses the same 802.11g standard as everyone else...0
