Leaking Conservatory - Advice pls :(

Hi guys
We just this weekend had new windows and a front door fitted which we are really pleased with
and were planning to get new windows/door fitted sometime later in the year to our conservatory.
Now what with the windy wet weather we awoke this morning to find puddles on the floor of the conservatory. We knew it leaked at the front (near the door) through the seals (which I was waiting for dryer weather to replace) but not near the bit where it joins the house.
We can't see where it is really leaking from so I'm guessing near or around the flashing joint although my brother in law painted over this about two years ago with some bitumen paint. It has a Polyucarbonate roof by the way (which doesn't have much of an angle) and we can see some small traces of water kinda inside it. (my first thought was maybe the window fitters stood on the roof but my OH says no as she sat in the conservatory all day).
As I said at the beginning we were thinking of replacing the door and windows (3) in the conservatory at some time and probably the roof too but funds are tight now we've had the windows done plus as we have a baby on the way and we need the bathroom doing too.
Can anyone give some possible pointers to what we can do in the short term?
If we do replace the roof/windows/door can we get upvc ones fitted even though the conservatory has a wooden frame (the bottom is brick by the way)?
Any advice, most welcome

ps - OH rang me and said next doors chimney pot has fallen off - with any luck it might fall through our conservatory roof and insurance might cover it then

In our old House Everest were always coming to fix our roof on the conservatory. They almost always used to pump mastic is and around any obvious areas and then wait and see approach...Regards,

I have a similar issue to you - it is a leak that happens now and again. So annoying! I have so far, applied silicone mastic around the joins inside, and cleared all guttering in the outside.
Just waiting for the next downpour to see if we have fixed it!Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Interesting, same with us, I reckon the conservatory has more silicon in it than pvc. Says a lot for their so-called precision built conservatories.
I would put them in the rogue traders bracket, but Trading Standards are not interested.0 -
I was sitting in our conservatory last week when suddenly there was a downpour of water from the middle under the ridge. I turned out to be condensation which had collected in a placstic trim which had filled up to tipping point. If I hadn't seen it happen I'd still be scratching my head. Is there a plastic trim covering an aluminium wall plate? That might be pooling condensation in extreme cold weather. It might not be a leak at all.I am the Cat who walks alone0
