We had a really awful experience yesterday morning as we drove home right at the end of our own street. Some lunatic who was obviously coked off his head decided my hubby gave him a dirty look while driving?? So he followed us, blocked the car and was screaming abuse wanting hubby to get out of the car so he could kick the crap out of him, he punched the window and when that didn't break went into his boot and pulled out a jack to smash the window with. I freaked out because the kids were screaming, so I went to get out of the car (lost my temper a bit) and probably would have been stabbed if hubby hadn't have pulled me back in and tried to run the sick junkie over. He then got back in his car and drove off. Nice eh!

:grouphug: There are so many freaks out there it's unreal. Hope you're all ok. Remind me not to move down that part of the country...

Fancy hubby missing him mind :naughty: - he needs more practice. Can you not pay chavs to stand in the middle of the road while he drives at them?

Then amongst the mail was a court order for the business we don't own any more for a debt of 4k from our accountant that I know nothing about what so ever. And a letter from a debt collector for a random £1200 from GE capital bank??? as far as I know I've never had anything from them and as far as I'm concerned I payed off all our debts over a year ago so I'm really confused about that one. I'll do the template letter asking for the info on the debt, who it's from and what it's all about. If I owe it i'll pay it but I always had good records of what we owed and this doesn't fit anywhere. I'm pretty sure I'd know if I owed someone that amount.

That's the problem with being a good payer - people think you'll pay even more...

I had a strange day - of course, all my colleagues had their jolly on Friday with muggins too skint to even get to the Airport nevermind Dublin. Anyhoo, today was filled with their stories and photos of being away. Lots of in-jokes that I am not party too now. As the new girl, I have tried so hard to fit in with them, but now it just reminds me how devisive money is and that the crap situation financially that I had when my Dad died still affects my life, right down to how well I can interract with my colleagues and be part of the team I am in. It's difficult in that I'm the only female in the team, and also that I'm new and in a newly created position, so I have really tried to find a niche for myself - then money comes along and ruins it.

Came home from work, started crying and have been like this for hours now. I just want this week to end so I can get away from work and not be there feeling like a spare part. It's been a good reminder to me why I just gave up trying with people so long ago. All they ever seem to want to do is crap all over you - "Look at us.........what a great time we had..........here's some photos......." meanwhile I'm sat eating 3 plain white pieces of bread out a Sunblest bag for lunch as I can't even afford jam to put on them! Tomorrow is dry porridge - not to mention walking to and from work 5 miles each way as I don't have the bus fare.

Sorry, I'm rambling and losing the positivity I had from last week! Things are fine when it's just me, but other people always seem to come along and ruin things.....

Anyone know a desert island I can go and live on?

I think wee Cumbrae's still up for sale....

Sorry you had such a rubbish day but I'm sure by next week they'll have moved on to some new topic of conversation. Just make sure you take a good book or something with you so you can immerse yourself in that over lunch and block them out a bit.

    Aww babe! :grouphug:

It always feels bad when you see people enjoying themselves, and you feel on the outside, looking in - just remember they are living on borrowed time and borrowed money.

It's hard being someone who lives below their means - but it comes to everyone.

So chin up - you have us, a bunch of supportive lovely people. When things go sour for your colleagues, one by one - perhaps they will regret rubbing "conspicuous consumption" into some else's face.

    Going to miss you guys!

All the saga's of my flat I have posted here in confidence and for support I have discovered this morning are being read by my neighbour and she has brought them up with the solicitors.

Posting on a popular internet forum isn't really "in confidence"!
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
