Primus - Planet talk - opinions?

Having gone through USwitch they are recommending a CPS service from a company called Primus, who appear to operate under the Planet Talk brand in the UK. The info on the Primus website is scant, and I cannot appear to find any details on the 'Primus Saver option 2' which Uswitch recommend.

Does anyone here have any experience of this co, and especially this particular CPS service, as they are offering free weekend and evening calls to local and national numbers (effectively BT Option 2) at no cost.

My fear is that I am hearing that some CPS operators are including in small print that they will sell your details to telemarketing cos, and via this method they can reduce package costs.

The other co with a very similar package is just dial saver, which have been discussed here to some extent, and generally seem to get OK reviews.

Any help would be appreciated

Just had a look at the website here and it appears to me to be a service more like 18866 where you use a pre dial number rather than being a CPS.

Couldn't find anything about free evening and w/end calls and although I haven't checked the call rates I can't imagine that they will be cheaper than 18866 with a BT line ;)

Thanks for the reply - I agree that the website has no detail of this service available, and has no details of rates of calls etc. However the point I am highlighting is that I specified with Uswitch (who themselves are very reputable) that I used my phone for evening and w/e calls to local and national only AND only wanted a CPS proviser (not an over-ride). They came up with a complete package from Primus called 'Primus Saver option 2', which in summary gives me what I have at the moment (but about to end!) free from Talktalk, ie free evening and w/e calls to 01 and 02 numbers. The key is that Primus (according to Uswitch) offer the service for free all of the time, unlike talktalk who offered it free for one year, and will now charge me £4.99 per month. Just dial saver have a very similar deal, and appear towards the top of the Uswitch table.

I am keen to use this in replacement of Talk talk in order to give me free evening and w/e calls, and them use 18866 for any daytime calls.

Have a check yourself on uSwitch to see the plan details - i am planning to email Uswitch to try and get further info.

I will do Tee as my free calls with TalkTalk also end at the beginning of September and I am going to switch over to the free calls at the w/ends with them and use 18866 for the evening calls.
