Knew I'd seen that somewhere! Googled a link from NPower and this person who is quite fanatical about saving energy, very old style, the site is called Grandma Knows Best! Might pick up a few tips myself

I must admit after 2 1/2 slices I was very full!!!
Might try again tomorrow and leave it to rise a bit more as I only left it for about 1/2 hour rather than 1 hour.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Some breadmakers, like mine, really don't allow the dough enough time to rise properly. Try setting it to the "make dough" program, then keep any eye on it until the bread has risen to where you want it and then set it to "bake".
My loaves were at 30-40 pence each, but it it depends on which flour you buy, how many nuts or fruit you add, what's on special offer. I've taken at least ten pence off that quoted price because I'm in the process of switching to plain flour instead of fancy (expensive) bread flour. (As advised here, thank you OP)
Slow cookers, on a low setting typically use about as much power as a light bulb. Way less than an electirc oven uses (or the gas equivalent).Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
