Won my appeal , back pay?

Hi Everyone

I went to my appeal on the 5th March and won, thank goodness. What I would like to know is what back pay will I receive.

My partner and I was claiming Incapacity Benefits and Income Support of £92.80 a week up until 26 September and then we were getting £80.95 a week that is £11.85 reduction. My partner then got a full time job which started on the 14th January (I didn't get paid anything).

Obviously I will get paid any back pay since the 14 January, but will I get any more pay from the reduced rate income support?.

I hope you can make sense of the above , as I find it difficult to explain.

Cheers

Your arrears will be what you were getting before failing the PCA, less what you have had in IS whilst waiting for your appeal, then only your IB from 14/1 to date.

You could speed up the process if you send a copy of the Appeal decision(which should have been given to you on the day), direct to the IB section at your JCP Benefit Centre.

    Hi

Sorry I just re-read and I was ment to say that the £80.95 was for the reduced rate of Income Support(I had a choice of Job Seekers or reduced rate Income Support).

Will I get the money back from the reduced rate (11.85 per week) up until my partner started work full time?

If that makes sense. if doesn't im sorry.

Yes you will be be paid the difference of £11.85 per week that was taken away when you went onto Income Support, that is what Stazi was saying in their post above.

    Hi Everyone

Well I still haven't received any money yet. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive their money, after they have won their appeal?

The post has not been yet, hopefully I will receive something today(but I dont hold my breath).

Don't hold your breath. My husband won his DLA appeal in the 3rd week of Jan and since the 4th of Feb had no DLA at all. And they need to back date his DLA care to the 28th December.

And it is because IB are not telling the DLA when they stopped paying.

    Good luck.

    Yours

    Hi

Thanks everyone, well on Thursday 27th March I got my back pay :T:T:T.

Thank goodness for that, plus I got more than I was expecting, because I changed to the longer term of IB and I get extra money because I am below a certain age as well which is a bonus.

    Cheers
