Can my Domain name be my email address

I have registered a domain name - for example (xxxxxxxx.com). Can the email address be xxxxxxxx.com or does it have to be [EMAIL="yyyy@xxxxxxxx.com"]yyyy@xxxxxxxx.com[/EMAIL] ?

Any help would be so gratefully received.

has to be [EMAIL="yyyy@xxxxxx.com"]yyyy@xxxxxx.com[/EMAIL] where y is the user and x is the domain....

so [EMAIL="admin@site.com"]admin@site.com[/EMAIL] would be the user admin at the site 'site'

Yes, it can and is.

[noparse]*@xxxxxxxx.com[/noparse]

Will allow mail to any address with anything before the "@" sign [noparse]*@xxxxxxxx.com[/noparse]

EXAMPLE
test[noparse]@xxxxxxxx.com[/noparse]
sales[noparse]@xxxxxxxx.com[/noparse]
advice[noparse]@xxxxxxxx.com[/noparse]

You have to set up *[noparse]@xxxxxxxx.com[/noparse] in the domain control pannel.
