Blackboard Magnetic Paint - Is there such a thing ?

I would really like to have a noticeboard on one of the walls of my kitchen. My idea was to get an old picture frame and stick in on the wall, and inside of that have blackboard magnetic paint, so I can write notes on there and stick things up there as well.

The question is - is there such a thing as both magnetic and blackboard paint, or is this out of the question and would have to have one or the other ??

I just think that it would be really handy to have the board for reminders for shopping etc etc etc etc, and to pin up vouchers etc etc etc.


Anyone can help ? I would love to know where I can get stuff from and how cheap I can do this project.

I suppose you could get a sheet of metal to fit the frame and paint that with blackboard paint.

Wow - that magnetic paint looks fab, and I guess there is no reason where it says you paint over it with another colour, why you couldn't do that with blackboard paint too..... yippee... thanks guys...

If anyone else knows of any other ideas then please post them.

I picked up a paint chart/card recently in Homebase for 'Bang on the Door' kids room paints. The range includes a 550ml tin of Magnetboard Paint - comes in black! Can be used on walls or wood. Sorry don't know the price. Maybe give your local store a ring.

Found this site selling magnetic paint for £18.99.
I put some on my sons wall you can not stick anything really heavy things to it but it is good for posters and things means there are no holes in the wall.
