Screen Resolution keeps changing

Hi

Can anyone please help?, I have a dell 1500 dell laptop, I have had it for about 6 weeks, my 1st problem was that I couldn't load a legitimate copy of MS Office, so I phoned dell support and we ended restoring the laptop to factory settings (this was Friday) and eventually we installed the software.

ok new problem started yesterday, my problem now is that everytime I close the lid or im inactive on the laptop, the screen resolution keeps changing to a lower resolution and I keep having to reset it- any ideas or advice please?

thanks

    thanks

Happens with mine and I've been told it's a common problem with Vista and a certain graphics driver incompatibility. I was told to download a new driver but I didn't bother as it doesn't annoy me enough, but maybe someone else on here might have also heard of the problem too.

Thanks for that!!!, however it DOES REALLY ANNOY me, so if anyone has a direct link to an appropriate driver I would really appreciate it.

Well I suppose that depends on what drivers you have loaded at present. There is an Intel video driver dated 18-01-2008 which may be a solution to your problem.
