Annual fuel consumption

hiya

I am trying to find the best deal for switching gas and electric for my mum. however all her bills are estimates so i don't know her annual consumption. She has read her meters over the last week, but i guess i can't just multiply that by 52, as more fuel is used in winter.

Is there a rough rule of thumb about how much fuel is used in the winter vs summer?

Will her consumption make a difference to which companies to switch to?

Thanks

Emma

does she pay by direct debit - i just multiplied mine by 12 for my annual consumption - on some of the comparison websites you can just tick if you don't know - some of them you can ring up and speak to someone so that might be an idea

The average is 20,500kWh pa for gas and 3300kWh for electricity.

If she is a low user, it may be worth considering Ebico - although they may have a rise later this month.

An internet only tariff will be cheapest.
