We are in South West Western Australia, about 2 hours south of Perth. Perth itself is a lovely city, as someone else said the Swan Valley is nearby and down south we have the Margaret River wine region, here in Bunbury you can swim with dolphins or go on dolphin cruises and there is plenty to do around Geographe Bay.

However, in saying that if you're thinking of coming over during the UK's summer then you might not find the weather so good for being out and about (we get a lot of rain during winter).

Personally, I'd recomend Sydney. I'd always wanted to go and we visited for our wedding anniversary in September 2006. Again, weather wasnt brilliant (we had the wettest September day for 40 years when we arrived) but there is loads to do and see, if you're braver than we were you can do the harbour bridge climb which looked amazing - just a fab place to visit.

    HTH :)

I just pop in now and then.... :)
