hi,if you buy a second car and insure it with a different company,do you have to pay again to protect your ncd?

If you buy an additional car you have to start again with a new policy.
You can transfer your NCD if you cancel the original policy, but you only build it up and use it once for each policy.
I was once offered a special deal of one years NCD for being an experienced driver, so you may be lucky if you shop around.0 -

You can't use your NCD on 2 policies at the same time unfortunately, some companies will give you an introductory discount though based on the fact you have a full NCD on your first car.
Shop around but you are really better calling around IMO.
