"We're sorry you're planning to leave ScottishPower in the next week or two.

For your protection, access to your online account will only be available for a limited time from the date of this email, usually one to three weeks. This is
in line with when your supply is expected to transfer to your new supplier."

Thats damn quick, if the transfer really does go through in the next week or two. I only signed up to E.on on 19th Feb.

My protection against what! one to three weeks! Cheers SP. Nice to know you're allowing me to keep track of the transfer process. making sure i can check I receive CORRECT FINAL BILLS etc. Guess I'll just have to print off all my account info. until my online a/c is closed.

Can they / will they do that! Shut my online account, if i am an online customer, before the transfer is complete.

EDF did exactly the same i'm transferring (gas & elec) to E-ON which is in the process of going through and as soon as EDF got wind of the change my on-line account was closed without warning.

Having had problems transferring the first time round, I would suggest cancelling the direct debit with your bank and paying the final bill (when you agree it) by another means.

Just checked my online bank account, and found a further 2(on top of the existing one) new direct debits set up for Scottish power, although it doesn't appear they have been debited yet. Can they do that, Just set up further DDs. Don't know why, cause I only owe about £80
I cancelled them straight away, and will wait until the final bill arrives, so I can check with the statements i printed off, before i settle up, as I no longer have access online.
