Where is the best place to find a true valuation of a really old car? We are trying to sell an H reg Renault and have only been offered £50 which seems to be a rather cheeky offer.

    I used Parker's guide recently - try this: http://www.parkers.co.uk/
    Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)
Debt free success date: 14.8.2006 :j

With an older car, it might be searching for Renault Owners clubs or French car clubs or even just stick it on eBay.

If it's a specialist or collectors car, then Parkers/Glass guide might undervalue it by a large margin.

If you can post more details on the car inc photos and I'll be able to give you a better idea.

It's an H reg Renault 5. About 150 000 miles full service history but not MOT or Tax!

It has a little bit of rust on the roof. The inside is a little shabby but when it was running it went like a little bomb!

It's REAL value is only £50 i'm afraid!

When you say "wehn it WAS running" = are you meaning that its broke?

Scrappies will give you 75quid for it probably...

I'd take the 50 quid, run like crazy and never look back. It's a fair offer and cheaper than paying a scrappie to take it off your hands.
