I'd love to take my kids on a ski holiday next winter - and plan to start saving for this. Is possible to find a 'cheap' ski holiday available? How cheaply can a holiday like this be done? Look forward to hearing your ideas ...........

My suggestions along side the thread above are
www.snowtrex.co.uk
Package for accomodation lessons, hire, passes but get your own travel-so can choose.
Independently -book online to somewhere cheaper ie Zakopane, poland-super cheap.0 -
I've managed to price up a week of skiing for our family of 2 adults and 4 kids who will be aged 12, 10, 7 and 3 years old, for around €1700 (around £1300 at current exchange rate) for a week next January 2009. It may be even cheaper if I don't buy 6 days passes for the whole family and pay for shorter passes only when the beginners are ready to ski using the higher lifts. I used www.snowheads.com to get some great tips on cheap French resorts for families. We are goin the first or second week of January. Costs are :
€250 fuel and tolls from Brussels (same as Calais) to resort
€300 self-catering apartment for 6
€500 ski passes for 6 days for 5 (3 year old free)
€400 ski school/garderie for 2 1/2 hours for 6 days for 5
€250 ski equipment hire for 5
We are going to either Val Cenis, Valmeinier, St Sorlin d'Arves or Les Saisies and staying in an apartment with www.residhotel.com or something similar.0
