Has anyone heard of this and/or is/was a member?

I received some stuff in the post offering 3 months' free trial membership. Apparently, they can offer substantial discount on tailor-made holidays.

This could come in handy as I am planning a long-haul trip for November.

I was a member for a year a couple of years ago and never used them! If you are after the higher end of the holiday market you may find some savings,however, if you are able to use the internet (which you must be!!) then it may be better for you to do the research yourself and book independently. If you want someone else to do all the leg work and you like luxury hotels and VIP lounges at airports and are willing to pay then go for it!

Thanks everyone.

I took the plunge and joined WEXAS online yesterday. I have also asked them to quote for my holiday - I am, in fact, going for something high end (with all the money I saved by using this board!). Yes, being a true money-saver, I have also done my homework already on the Internet.

Let's just say that WEXAS came in £600 cheaper. They quoted me the exact hotel I wanted too. They also applied a 10% new member discount. So far, I am very happy with my contact with them. My email to them was answered within a couple of hours.

I think I will stay with them for at least the first year. Though if I cancel my trial membership within 3 months, that's also possible and I will have saved money.

WEXAS have been around for a very long time and are superb if you want unusual holidays - they made their name from the Travellers Handbook that tells you such things as how to cross the Sahara by motor bike and you can use the pages as toilet paper (honest)

No harm in trying, if the deal is that one can terminate the trial within 3 months. Go to their main website https://www.wexas.com. Note, though, that they do take your bank details for direct debit. You will need to remember to cancel the membership in time and in accordance with their cancellation rules. Why not use Martin's Tart Alert to set up a reminder for this?

They offered me, on the face of it, a 10% new member discount for the flights part of my quote.

I have used and cancelled Wexas with no problems before. They still mail from time to time and I may be tempted to give them a go again at a later date. Thumbs up from me.

Glad to hear the customers are getting good service despite the poor morale amongst staff and the way in which some members speak to them on the phone.
