Fixed Rate isn't really a meaningful comparison for loans.

    But 102.9% is CRIMINAL.

Even capital one and vanquis don't charge this much.

How are they allowed to sell loans at such extortionate rates ?

You can make an excellent case for this being grossly unfair. Maybe you could contact the Financial Ombudsman Service, perhaps?

I would definately contact either CAB or CCCS to discuss what your options may be.

    A £500 loan paid over 3 years @ 102.9% APR would require £45.21 pm
So even this does not add up.

If you are advised to get another loan at a better rate, take the documents with you to the bank rather than applying online for the loan.

You would need to get an early settlement figure from everything financial or whoever did the actual loan, which may be quite a bit.

Is there PPI cover with these loans?
If so, it may be possible for you to claim that back.

That's doorstop lenders for you. It always amazes me. The poor/naive/careless get exploited/shoot themselves in the foot the most.
