I do believe you can get that one cheaper. I can remember seeing it for around £25... though couldn't give you a link. Sumvision do a range, and I think the Lynx version is the lowest specced one.Student Moneysaving Expert :beer:0

SVP are doing a clearance version for £30. I've had their clearance products before with no probs... it they don't do the job then they give you your money back just the same as if you had bought new. P & P is about £5

We recently purchased a Phillips DVP 5960 from Currys for £40, saves waiting for one to turn up in the post. I'm very impressed, it does make a difference with DVD's, but only slightly. With photos however it is really good. Takes USB and plays DIVX, I recommend it!0

now might be the time to buy a HD-DVD player. They're going dirt cheap, discs will still be distributed for a few years (well a good 18-24 months) yet. The player will play DIVX and upscale regular DVDs!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Which HD DVD players play back DivX I know they have the hardware capability but didn't know that any software/firmware update had enabled this.Student Moneysaving Expert :beer:0 -

hi, i did buy the philips one, but i am sending it back, as i brought a this toshiba hd player for £49.99 with 2 free films, before anybody says it is old technology, it has lost the war, all i wanted was a cheap upscaler and to get one that plays proper hd movies is just a bonus, just think all those hd dvds prices will drop, and i believe there is 500 of them, so i should get a few bargains, Dave.Take every day as it comes!!0
