how much is your morgage and for what?

Hi,
I was just wondering how much morgage people have left to pay and what kind of property does this buy. I don't know if this is a repeated thread, if so ignore me. I'll start;
We have a 4 bedroomed detached house in the north east and we bought it for £72,000 in 1993 and have spent about £20,000 on it. We now owe £26,500 and its worth about £210,000 now. We have 3years and 6months left on our .25% above the base rate mortgage but we hope to pay this off in 12 months so that I can leave work. My husband is happy to continue, we are 54 and I can retire at 55 with full pension.
I have no particular reason to start this thread other than I often wonder about these things when I read other posts, very nosy indeed :D
Best Wishes,
Happi

    I have a 2 bed ground floor flat in zone 2 west London bought for 225k in 2003. At that time we had 160k of mortgage and after that we spent 30k approx on doing it up. Last year my ex partner and I split up and I bought him out at an agreed value of 350k (well we didn't so much agree exactly but it had to be done) I took out a mortgage of 229k (now 225). I'm 29 and my current interest rate is 5.89 fixed for 5 years (4.5ish remaining). Given the current troubles I think 350k valuation is still relatively correct but the more bullish estate agents were saying up to 400 (I think the 350 is more realistic).

    We bought our 4 bed detached house, with double garage and off street parking for 3 cars, in London for £700k in Aug2006, with mortgage of £467k. Now worth £800k, with £434k outstanding. Aiming to pay £30-50k off this year off the balance.

    Bought my first property in 1989 for £37.5k (1 bed flat in Banbury). Times and prices have moved on so much!!!!

    We bought our 3 bed semi with no garage or off road parking for the bargainous price of £140000 in 2005. We borrowed a mortgage of £90000 and a loan from my Mum of £14000. We have spent about £10k so far and have about £3 or 4k left to spend.
    I think it is now worth £180000 or thereabouts.
    Bought our first flat in 2001 for £50000 and never ended up paying off any of the capital in nearly 4 years. This mortgage is not staying for much longer! 22nd July 2013 before we are debt free completely (If we keep on repaying at this rate- 22nd December 2019 if we drop down to minimum repayments).
    We've knocked 4.5 years off our mortgage since we started overpaying in January 2006.

    we have a 3 bedroom semi in Sussex which we bought in 1999 for £100 K. Since then we've put £20 K on the mortgage, and have only been trying to seriously pay it off for a couple of years - meaning we now owe £103 K.

    Bought our house in August 2007 and paid £167,500 for a three bed semi with drive and garage but it needed some up-dating. Our mortgage was for £95,500.00 and we plan on spending about £10,000 on it this year

    We bought our house in November 2006 for £124,000. Two bedroom semi, conservatory, garage + nice back garden in North Wales.

    We have £103,000 left on our mortgage and hope to have it paid off in 10 years time by the time I am 37 and OH is 34.
    Origionally took out a 2 year fix (4.79%) over 40 years :eek: (not the best choice of term looking back). Fix rate due to end at the end of the year where we are going to change the term to 18 years and with £333 per month overpayments it will reduce down to 10 years.
